From an idea to a proven product and the reference that defines it.
XALPES is an independent research, development and testing organization based in Austin, Texas. We take products and technologies from concept to industrialization: prototypes, performance characterization, intellectual property and, where no reference exists, the technical framework that makes performance comparable.

XALPES Research Laboratory & Pilot Production Facility
Planned center dedicated to applied research, technical testing, product development, pilot manufacturing and industrial process validation. The facility is designed to bring a testing laboratory, a prototyping workshop, a pilot line and a process-validation area under one roof, so that design, measurement and correction follow each other without delay.
Research and product development, a testing laboratory division and three technical divisions share the same programs, the same instruments and the same documentation standard.
Companies, inventors, investors and organizations: XALPES takes the program end to end, from the first analysis to the technical file, the intellectual property and the market.
One interlocutor from idea to industrialization
Documented, traceable technical evidence at each step
Intellectual property and reference strategy included
For existing laboratories and testing organizations: XALPES works in white label or as co-contractor. Deliverables are returned to the ordering laboratory, which remains the sole interlocutor of its client. Confidentiality by default.
Protocol design, characterization, instrument development
Reconstruction of technical files and overflow capacity
Deliverables in the ordering laboratory's own format
The first breathing-comfort classification for masks.
Standards cap breathing resistance; none grades comfort. The XRS scale is XALPES's first published heuristic: six levels, X1 to X6, derived from a single bench-measurable quantity — specific resistance, Rs = Δp/Q — each anchored on a measured or published reference.

A heuristic, not a standard. No regulatory value. Does not classify filtration. Human-panel validation not yet conducted.

FFC™ — Filtering Facepiece CBRN
XALPES is finalizing a new marking for filtering facepieces intended for CBRN environments. Publication will follow the filing currently in progress. Manufacturers, laboratories and buyers can ask to be notified.
From an idea and an existing patent base to a finished, marketable product: design, characterization, patent filed and managed, and the creation of a reference where none existed.

Two digital analyzers of the Testing Laboratory Division, built on XALPES's proprietary calculation models, used in our programs and available as a service.
XALPES Filtration Lab
Multilayer filtration, breathing and adsorption performance analyzer. From the technical data of each layer of a filtering assembly — mask or filter — a proprietary mathematical model establishes the performance of the finished product: particle and bacterial filtration efficiency (PFE, BFE), breathing resistance carried through to the assembled mask and classified on the XRS scale, adsorption capacity and gas performance (breakthrough time). Each analysis is checked against international references (EN 149, EN 14683, EN 14387, ASTM F2100, NIOSH 42 CFR 84, GB 2626, AS/NZS 1716) and ends in a traceable performance report — before any prototyping.
XALPES Fit Lab
Seal, leakage and breathing performance analyzer. From a mask simulated in shape on the five NIOSH/ISO reference head forms, the XALPES Fit Lab model computes the performance of a multilayer assembly: face-seal tightness, total inward leakage (TIL) and outward leakage, breathing pressure, real breathability and leaks at the face.
