Testing laboratory
Pressure-drop and breathing-resistance benches, characterization of filtration media and assemblies, fit and performance testing.
Project · under development
An integrated center bringing research, testing, prototyping and pilot production under one roof. The project is in development: nothing described on this page is operational today.

Vision
A product is proven by measurement, not by intent. When the laboratory, the workshop and the pilot line are in the same building, a design decision can be measured the same day and corrected the next. That short loop — design, measure, correct — is what the center is designed around.
The facility is intended to host the Testing Laboratory Division, the prototyping workshop shared by XALPESAID and XALPESTECH, a pilot production line for pre-series and process validation, and the engineering and simulation room where XiALPES develops the instruments used on the benches.
It is also where technical files are assembled: test reports, characterization data and development documentation are produced in one place, under one documentation standard, so that qualification phases conducted by third-party laboratories, where required, can be prepared without gaps.
Planned areas
The list below is the design intent. Surfaces, equipment lists and schedule will be published once confirmed.
Pressure-drop and breathing-resistance benches, characterization of filtration media and assemblies, fit and performance testing.
Mock-ups, functional prototypes, tooling and small mechanical assemblies for both product divisions.
Pre-series production and process validation before transfer to an industrial partner.
Design, simulation and data analysis; development of the in-house instruments used on the benches.
Technical files, test reports, traceability records and preparation of qualification phases conducted by third-party laboratories where required.
XALPES operates an internal testing laboratory. It is not an accredited or notified body; regulatory tests are conducted by qualified third-party laboratories where required.
Status & roadmap
No dates are published at this stage. Milestones will be dated as they are confirmed.
Functional program, equipment specification, layout studies and documentation standard.
Site selection in the Austin area, partnerships and financing structure.
Installation, bench qualification, first internal programs and pilot runs.
Partnership
Industrial partners, equipment suppliers, laboratories and investors interested in the Austin facility can open a discussion with XALPES. Programs already run today with the division's current means; the center extends them.
