XALPESAID · Division of XALPES LLC

Medical devices & personal protective equipment

Respiratory protection first: filtering half masks, CBRN filtering facepieces, filtration media and assemblies, ergonomics and human factors. XALPESAID designs, characterizes and documents; qualification phases are prepared, not claimed.

Scope

Respiratory protection, filtration, human factors.

A protective mask is an arbitration between filtration and breathing effort. XALPESAID works on both terms: the media and assembly that filter, and the geometry, fit and resistance that the wearer experiences.

The division covers filtering half masks and filtering facepieces for CBRN environments, filtration media and multilayer assemblies, developed-surface and form-factor design, ergonomics and human factors, and the technical files that accompany them.

Approach: design, characterization on our own benches, technical file, then preparation of the qualification phases required by each target market. XALPESAID makes no CE, FDA, NIOSH or other regulatory claim; where such steps are required, they are conducted with the competent bodies and qualified third-party laboratories.

Fields

Four fields of work.

01

Filtering half masks

Geometry, media selection, developed surface, breathing resistance and comfort level, fit.

02

CBRN filtering facepieces

Facepieces intended for chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear environments; short-duration civil protection concepts.

03

Filtration media & assemblies

Multilayer stacks, pressure drop and efficiency trade-offs, simulation with the XALPES Filtration Lab before prototyping.

04

Ergonomics & human factors

Fit, seal line, dead space, wearing duration and the breathing-comfort classification of the XRS scale.

Programs

XALPESAID programs.
